Uses / Indications
- TOBREX® is indicated for:
- Treatment of bacterial conjunctivitis
- Management of keratitis and blepharitis
- Post-operative prophylaxis following ocular surgery
- Control of secondary bacterial infections in inflamed eyes
Note: This product is not effective against viral or fungal infections.

Dosage
- Typical dosage: 1–2 drops into the affected eye(s) every 4–6 hours
- In severe infections: every 2 hours during waking hours
- Duration: 5–7 days, or as directed by a veterinarian

Administration Tips:
- Wash hands before and after use
- Avoid touching the dropper tip to any surface or the animal’s eye
- Shake gently before use if instructed
Possible Side Effects
- Mild burning or stinging upon application
- Hypersensitivity reactions (e.g. redness, itching, swelling)
- Superinfection with prolonged use
- Rare: Ototoxicity if absorbed systemically in high doses
Drug & Food Interactions
- No known food interactions
- Use with caution alongside other aminoglycoside antibiotics (e.g. gentamicin)
- Avoid concurrent use with other topical ophthalmic medications unless prescribed
Precautions
- For external ophthalmic use only
- Do not use in animals with known hypersensitivity to aminoglycosides
- Avoid use in viral or fungal eye infections
- Store at room temperature (15–25°C)
- Discard 28 days after opening
