Antiseptic and disinfectant concentrate for use in pre-operative skin preparation, instrument disinfection and surface disinfection of equipment.

Overview

Key Benefits:
  • Wide spectrum of antimicrobial activity and sustained residual effect due to binding with skin proteinsĀ 

  • Activity is not affected by the presence of blood and organic material
  • Multiple uses in veterinary practice including:
    • Pre-operative skin preparation
    • Disinfection of instruments (apart from those containing cemented glass)Ā Ā 
    • Surface disinfection of equipment (e.g. operating tables)
Active Constituent:
  • Chlorhexidine gluconate 50 mg/mL (= available chlorhexidine 2.8%)

Recommendations for Use

An antibacterial concentrate for dilution with clean water to produce an antiseptic/disinfectant for general veterinary surgery and veterinary clinical use in cases of pre-operative skin preparation, disinfection of instruments (apart from those containing cemented glass) and surface disinfection of equipment (e.g. operating tables).

Key Features

  • May be used for skin preparation in multiple species pre-operatively, for instrument or surface disinfection, diluted in methylated spirits
  • May be used as a general antiseptic, for wound of membrane flushing, diluted in water
