🐾 Feeding Instructions / Dosage

  • Dosage: Typically administered orally with meals to maximize phosphate binding. Dosage should be determined by a veterinarian based on the pet’s weight, clinical condition, and serum phosphate levels.
  • Example: For phosphate control, a common starting dose is 30–90 mg/kg body weight, divided across meals.
  • Administration: Tablet may be given whole or crushed and mixed with food.

  • Long-term use may interfere with absorption of other nutrients


🔄 Drug & Food Interactions

  • May interfere with the absorption of certain medications such as tetracyclines, fluoroquinolones, and iron supplements.
  • Should not be administered concurrently with other antacids or phosphate binders unless directed by a veterinarian.
  • Best given with food to enhance phosphate binding efficacy.
