🐾 Feeding Instructions / Dosage

Dogs:
- Cardiac disease: 0.5 mg/kg orally every 24 hours, may increase to every 12 hours if needed
- Protein-losing nephropathy: 0.25–1 mg/kg orally every 12–24 hours
- Hypertension: 0.5 mg/kg orally every 12 hours

Cats:
- 0.25–0.5 mg/kg orally every 12–24 hours

Administration:
- Can be given with or without food
- Tablets may be split or compounded for accurate dosing in small animals
- Regular monitoring of blood pressure, renal parameters, and electrolytes is recommended
⚠️ Possible Side Effects
- Hypotension (weakness, disorientation)
- Hyperkalemia
- Azotemia (elevated kidney values)
- Gastrointestinal upset: vomiting, diarrhea, anorexia (rare)
